Where we are:
How to get here:
Finding us is easy.
Driving: From the South, head North on the A82 from Glasgow, follow the road along the entire length of Loch Lomond enjoying the spectacular views across to Ben Lomond. Passing the famous Drovers Inn, head through Crainlarich and Tyndrum and up the hill into the Mountains(our favourite bit of the journey). Continuing on the A82, climbing into the mountains, you pass Bridge of Orchy which is nice to stop off for a spot of Lunch or Dinner at the Hotel, you will eventually find yourself at the highest point of the road at Rannoch Moor, and passing the Glencoe Mountain Ski Resort. 1 mile further along the road you cannot help but notice Buachaille Etive Mor, the view of this mountain from the main A82 road makes it appear quite unassailable and is one of the most photographed sights in Scotland. As you head further along the road, you head through the Glen of the Coe, pass the Meeting of the 3 waters and onto the range of Mountains named the 3 Sisters.
Heading downhill, you will pass the Glencoe Visitors Centre on the Left, and then onto the village of Glencoe. After you pass the traffic lights, take the first road on the left into Tigh Phuirt, in front of you will be Craft & Things Cafe and Shop, turn right, and follow the single track road to the top of the brow of the hill. Braehead Cottage sits on the left hand side at the highest point of this road.
By Bus: It cannot be easier. The Main bus route to and from Glasgow, Fort William and the Isle of Skye passes every hour, and stops outside the Glencoe Inn just a 5 minute walk along the road from the Cottage.
